Interclub competitions

MPS competes in many interclub competitions each year. They are:

Southwick – Maroondah Photographic Society

The Southwick Camera Club is based in Southwick, West Sussex, UK. This interclub competition is just between the two clubs and is held in the first half of each year.

VAPS

The interclub competition hosted by the Victorian Association of Photographic Societies (VAPS) is held annually and open competition for projected image and prints. The results are announced at the annual VAPS convention, which is usually held in May or June.

Four club

Camberwell Camera Club, Caufield Photographic Society, Waverley Camera Club and MPS compete in an annual interclub competition, with each club taking turns to host. There are 3 categories: projected image monochrome, EDI colour, and monochrome or colour prints.

Ten club portrait

This competition is hosted by Camberwell and held every June. Nine other clubs, including MPS, are invited to participate. There are 3 categories: single person, two or more people, and abstract.

Knox monochrome

Hosted annually by Knox Photographic Society.

Eastern

The Eastern Interclub competition is hosted by MPS in September each year. The categories are open and B&W (not monochrome) projected images. About ten clubs take part each year.
