The second meeting each month held on the third Wednesday of the month is competition night. Members are given the option of submitting work to be judged externally of the club. On competition night the judge will attend the meeting and critique each image submitted. Three sections are open; small prints, large prints and digital images. Five of the competitions will be set subjects whilst the remaining will be open. During the months of set subjects a creative section will also be open to members. This section allows for the submission of images which have been digitally manipulated or have had special digital effects applied to them.
